JAMES BREWERTON (Defence) A product of Rhyl's youth, then reserve sides. A formidable centre-back but with a keen eye for goal at set-pieces. Spent a week on trial at Wolves in 2000, playing for them in a Reserve derby against West Bromwich Albion. |
MICHAEL JACKSON (Defence) A mobile young defender signed from Southport in the summer of 2001. Michael can play in either defence or midfield. |
TIM EDWARDS (Defence, Captain)
Vastly experienced central-defender who has returned to Rhyl from TNS(Llansantffraid) where he won a LoW Championship medal and went on to play in Europe. |
MARK POWELL (Defence)
Had a short spell with Rhyl in the 2000/2001 season before joining TNS(Llansantffraid). Has now returned to the club and is playing in his regular berth of right back. |
COLIN WEBSTER (Defence) Signed at the start of the 2001/02 season from TNS(Llansantffraid). Began as a centre-back but has recently moved to right-back. NOW ON LOAN TO COLWYN BAY. |
GARETH WILSON (Midfield) In his second spell at the club, returning to Belle Vue after picking up a championship winners medal at TNS-Llansantffraid. A clever midfield player with lots of flair. Hails from Connah's Quay. |
STUART GRAVES (Midfield) Versatile left-sided player who can operate anywhere. Back for a second spell at the club after spending some time in the West Cheshire League with Newton. |
STEVE FUTCHER (Midfield) A strong tackler with a powerful shot, he has also played for Connah's Quay, Wrexham and Cwmbran Town. Played against Glasgow Celtic for Cwmbran Town. |
LEE CONGERTON (Midfield)
Joined Rhyl in the summer of 2000 but had an unhappy time with injuries. A strong, hard-working midfielder who had a spell with Colwyn Bay in the Unibond League. |
STEVE WALTERS (Midfield)
Vastly experienced midfielder who has played in the football league with Crewe and with Stevenage Borough in the Nationwide Conference. Signed this season from Kidsgrove Athletic. |
ANDY MORAN (Forward) A prolific scorer signed from Unibond League Bamber Bridge in December 2001. Has already built up a reputation for goals in the League of Wales. |
CHRIS MCGINN (Forward)
An exciting striker who joined Rhyl from Cammell Laird FC. Already among the goals this season. |
GARY POWELL (Forward)
Now in his third spell at Rhyl after having spells at TNS(Llansantffraid). His versatility makes him a valued member of the squad. |
NICK BROOKMAN (Utility Player) Had plenty of League experience with Stockport County and Bolton Wanderers before having spells with Connah's Quay, Bangor City and Caernarfon Town. |
